HighGlow Music presents: Glistering

This months mix come to you with a slightly more experimental vibe, since is a mixture of trance & progressive music with some house and breaks elements. The overall vibe I’ll say is lively with a nice varietion of techy “sparkling” sounds, where towards the end it gets a bit harder and slightly more uplifting. The selections is a combination of old and new productions that I put together to deliver the atmosphere I was aiming for.
So with that said, I bring you ‘Glistering’. Enjoy.

Actually, no….. not enough said…. this is, by far THE BEST mix of yours i have ever downloaded. i am sorry, but your past work hasnt a patch on the vibe this projects. Thankyou so much Loris, there is alot of passion in this mixset and it reflected in its majestic sound.

Wow, thanks a lot for the comments Alex.
I got the same reaction by another mate of mine… that this set is the best I ever done. Personally, I’m still not sure about that but I’d like to read from you guys what exactly makes this set my best one. What is it that you like about it and how is making it better than the rest?
The more feedback I get then the better will be my upcoming sets!

Hey, no problem man. Always happy to give you some feedback. Hmm. what makes it the best so far……..Well for a start it is the trance music you chose. For me, it hit the right spot for the type of taste. Having being swayed to the trance genre with the euphoric sounds like ferry’s remix of synaesthesia and des mitchell’s welcome to the dance back in the day, i have been looking for sounds that emulate their greatness. The problem with that is everytime i got something labelled “uplifting trance” it wasnt uplifting at all. i became to be of the belief that people really didnt know what this genre was.
sorry for the life story, but the best parts about this is that you have kept the same style throughout. the tunes compliment each other. they have a similar sound. unlike other mixes. But for me its just that i dont like this mixset just for one or two songs, its because i like them all.

Thanks Alex for the feedback.
Well, is funny because I wasn’t sure on a couple of selections if people will like them… but glad it works the otherway around.
I hope next months podcast will be as good.

I think Alex said everything that should be said…it’s good to know that there are still people to understand the difference between electronic music genres since everything is house or techno for most of them.
Once again a great mix with nothing less of it was expected by you Loris.
Keep up with the excellent work!!
