My apologies to everyone for the long wait for this months mix, but this is a special month and I had it delayed for one good reason… to be released as a celebration on my actual birth day, the 30th of October.

As this is the starting month of the Scorpio sign, it is an inspirational and very spiritual period for me, and so I chose a theme that will help me to reflect these emotions to all of you through a deep journey of atmospheric and captivating melodies. The same time it is a theme that has being a great artistic challenge for capturing it’s essence through sound and vision; by delivering to you as well a more unique artwork behind the music.

‘Stardust’ – Part 02 – Guest mix by DJ JD

For this month’s guest mix I especially invited my friend DJ JD to compile for us an exclusive set based on his unique style that I have been enjoying for the last years. His chillout/ambient mixes are some of the best that I’ve ever heard delivering a great flow of emotional music. As he’s a firm believer in themes, vibe and quality over quantity it was an obvious choice for me for this month.

Jeremy’s affinity for deep, epic and uplifting trance was spawned from the sounds of DJ Precision, Aly & Fila and Armin’s earlier “A State of Trance” mixes. In the past 5 years, his track selection has expanded to progressive, lounge and vocal trance. During the same time, he discovered a passion and talent for creating chill out mixes. Using the pseudo-pseudonym DJ JD, the original “Kick Back – Session 1” was released in July, 2005. To date, 10 more sessions have followed, bringing with them an influx of exposure and a growing fan-base.

For the ‘Stardust’ guest mix he blends a unique and rather ambitious collection of EDM sounds and styles. Never straying from the core theme of the release, it opens subtly, but with energy and winds down with the most poignant of melodic chill.

A give special thanks to Jeremy for this mix, and I hope you all enjoy it.

‘Release’ – Part 02 – guest mix by Chris Richardson

This is the very first HighGlow guest mix, done by Chris Richardson; a friend DJ/Producer from Essex, UK. Chris has compiled 17 of some of this summer’s big tunes in Trance under an exclusive 80minutes mix, delivering for us a great blend of energy, driving baselines and captivating melodies.

As one of today’s most rapidly rising DJ’s, Chris made his first international mark on the dance music scene in 2006 with his remix of Supermode’s massive debut single “Tell Me Why”. One of his later remixes of the Freemasons’s hit “Rain Down Love” even hit a note with the Freemasons themselves who championed the single across Ibiza in 2007 and on their recent world tour. He has received massive support from them since, spurring on the creation of his first record label “PhatBANG Recordings”. The label began small, pushing out only to a small audience on a social networking website. Since then the group had expanded out to a wider net fanbase and resulted in his website pushing out over 10,000 mix downloads in just a two year period!

This months mix come to you with a slightly more experimental vibe, since is a mixture of trance & progressive music with some house and breaks elements. The overall vibe I’ll say is lively with a nice varietion of techy “sparkling” sounds, where towards the end it gets a bit harder and slightly more uplifting. The selections is a combination of old and new productions that I put together to deliver the atmosphere I was aiming for.

Proudly I announce that my new brainchild, HighGlow Music, is now live.

From now on I’ll be releasing my new DJ mixes under HighGlow Music. As many will notice, my previous DJ Blog Uplifting-Selections.com is now taken offline and any mix series I had are now discontinued. Reason is that I needed a fresh new start for my music with something more professional. I also needed to escape the fact that my music is purely associated with uplifting trance and be able to release sets with a various mixture of Trance, Progressive and even some House music. However, I will still remain true to my original style and you can be assured that I’ll still be releasing mixes of pure uplifting music as always.

HighGlow Music brings a new fresh dimension on the way I approach my music.

Every month I’ll try and bring you an exclusive one-off mix under a unique concept and style. I’ll be also designing original Cover Art to include with each mix to deliver a more original “album” feel. Along, you can download a CUE file for every new mix, as many have been demanding for my previous mixes, plus a wallpaper of the cover art for your desktop. Not only, but for the first time I will also try and publish an official HighGlow podcast for itunes with each mix, for all the ipod fans out there. And the best news for me will be that for my future mixes I plan to release exclusive editions that are in collaboration with fellow international DJs; something that I’m very excited about.
